About the event
The Mi Gente CA Block Party is a free, family-friendly celebration that brings together artists, neighbors, local businesses, and community organizations for a day of creativity, culture, and connection. Hosted in partnership with San Diego Parks & Recreation and City Council District 9, the series transforms neighborhood parks into vibrant gathering spaces where people can experience the arts, celebrate diverse cultures, and build meaningful connections with one another.
Spend the day exploring local artists and small businesses, enjoying delicious food, listening to live music, watching cultural performances, and participating in hands-on art activities for all ages. From the kids' fun zone to interactive creative experiences, every Block Party is designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and create opportunities for people of different backgrounds and generations to come together.
